Bass Case, a custom built electric bass instrument
Hand Made One of a Kind
A one of a kind instrument made of Mahogany moulding, steel tool case, upholstery tacks, piano tuning screws, scraping blade and multiple internal pickups with volume boost switch and 1/4inch out.
This instrument uses one bass string on an arabic scale neck, it's sound is both percussive and heavy, very heavy. There are 2 piezo pickups, the hotter pickup can be bypassed with a push button switch, while the cooler pickup is always active. The switch also can be spun to achieve quick percussive clicking sweeps, which is very present when 2nd pickup is active, the 2nd pickup also turns the steel housing into a electronic hand drum, throwing taps and scrapes into the signal.
Made by Aaron Iaquinto, this instrument is a part of his first Acoustic Inventions line, where he fashions beautiful one of a kind stringed melody makers out of select found materials inspired by Indian and American cultures and their art wood working. Each instrument comes with handwritten maintenance instructions and playing tips, and a custom fashioned mounting device to hang your instrument on a wall.
